Accordingly, there is a shortfall of about 2,700 units affordable to ELI households. Similarly, <br />there are 255 units affordable to owners earning up to 50% of median (very low income) but more than <br />1,300 households in this categories. These disparities illustrate the need for housing available to lower <br />income households -- and that people of lower incomes are not currently living in housing that is <br />affordable to them.
