6.3.A. - Page 196 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY APPROVING AMENDMENT TO THE CITIZEN PARTICIPATION <br />PLAN <br />WHEREAS, a Citizen Participation Plan was adopted by the City Council on May <br />2, 1988 by Resolution No. 10780; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of Section 104(a) of the Housing and <br />Community Development Act of 1974 (P.L. 93-383), as amended ("the Act"), requires <br />jurisdictions to set forth a detailed community participation plan for the City's Community <br />Development Block Grant Program; and <br />WHEREAS, City has followed its Citizen Participation Plan as part of the <br />process for amending the Citizen Participation Plan to incorporate the Assessment of <br />Fair Housing; and <br />WHEREAS, a 30 -day Request for Citizen Comments on the draft amendments to <br />the Citizen Participation Plan has been published for public comment prior to the <br />Housing and Human Concerns Committee (HHCC) approving the amendments and <br />recommending they be forwarded to Council for approval; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 16, 2016, the Housing and Human Concerns <br />Committee (HHCC) held a public hearing to accept public comments on the draft <br />amendments to the Citizen Participation Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of Section 104(a) of the Act, the City <br />has followed its Citizen Participation Plan as part of the process for amending. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. In accordance with the requirements of Section 104(a) of the Housing and <br />Community Development Act of 1974 (P.L. 93-383), as amended, this Council does <br />hereby adopt an Amended Community Participation Plan. <br />2.
