Irrigation accounts: A 25% discount for the first three (3) years after <br />connection to the recycled water system, after which the discount shall <br />decrease by five percent each year for three consecutive years and then <br />remain at a discount of 10% <br />b. Non-irriqation accounts: A 40% discount for the first three (3) years after <br />connection to the recycled water system, after which the discount shall <br />decrease by 10% each year for three consecutive years and then remain <br />at a discount of 10%; <br />2. For existing recycled water accounts that retrofit prior to adoption of this <br />resolution: <br />a. Irrigation accounts: A 25% discount for the first five (5) years after <br />connection to the recycled water system, after which the discount shall <br />decrease by five percent each year for three consecutive years and then <br />remain at a discount of 10%; <br />b. Non-irriqation accounts: A 40% discount for the first five (5) years after <br />connection to the recycled water system, after which the discount shall <br />decrease by 10% each year for three consecutive years and then remain <br />at a discount of 10%. <br />3. Recycled water rates will not be impacted by drought restrictions or rate <br />surcharges. <br />4. This proposal was initially presented to the Utilities <br />Committee earlier this year and has been vetted by the Committee. The attached <br />resolution rescinds Resolution 14645 and adopts the revised Recycled Water Pricing <br />Policy. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Council may direct staff to revise the pricing policy prior to adoption. <br />
