City Manager stated acceptance of Bay Road Area Storm Drainage System, SD -1, Project
Unit I was on Agenda for approval and that he would also like to add Acceptance
of Bay Road Storm Drain System, Unit 2, Broadway Pumping Station, as both projects
are now completed.
Discussion on bids of Hoover School Swimming Pool. Councilman Keckley questioned, if
the bids are rejected, and called for again in the winter months, will the bids
be changed by some $40,000. City Manager stated no, but they would be changed
some; that completion time should be extended, to allow the contractors to bid
on slack period of time instead of now, and thinks the pool will be operating by
next summer.
Councilman Bury questioned lack of any well-known or local people who did not bid,
City Manager said if the pool is readvertised, Staff would go out and talk to
local bidders, to promote more bidding on this project.
