sD s <br />'3rj_6 <br />Councilman Granger moved that Council go on record as looking with favor on cover- <br />ing of creek and referred to Staff for review during Budget meetings, seconded by <br />Councilman Keckley. On question, Councilman Rosselli opposed limiting this pro- <br />ject to study at Budget meeting. Motion changed eliminating this reference. <br />Councilman Henderson stated she was not prepared at this point to give full appro- <br />val to creek covering. <br />Councilman Petersen stated he wished report on his request concerning costs of <br />pond before he would favor creek covering 100%. Motion carried on roll call vote, <br />Councilmen Bury, Granger, Keckley, and Rosselli voting yes, Councilmen Henderson, <br />Petersen, and Mayor Herkner voting no. (MINUTE ORDER #66-220) <br />Addendum to item concerning landscaping for Municipal Marina requested approval of <br />plans and specifications and authorize Park Department to proceed in order that <br />balance of construction funds might be used for this purpose. Council was also <br />asked to appropriate the $60,000 which the State has granted for Marina construc- <br />tion. <br />Councilman Bury moved to approve the landscaping plans and authorize Staff to <br />proceed, seconded by Councilman Henderson. On question, Councilman Petersen <br />expressed satisfaction with landscaping proposed and questioned possibility of <br />additional park personnel being needed for maintenance. City Manager advised <br />this had been discussed both before the Park & Recreation Commission and the <br />Marina Committee and it was consensus of opinion that the nature of the land- <br />scaping planned was such that with the exception of grass cutting, the Harbor- <br />master could handle maintenance. Motion carried. Mayor Herkner <br />concurred. Councilman Keckley remade the motion...... <br />Councilman Keckley ruled motion out of order as discussion had not been called <br />for. On question City Manager explained reason for introduction of Ordinance <br />and need for legislative action to make full amount of loan available for pay- <br />ment of construction phases at the Marina. Motion remade by Councilman Keckley, <br />seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried. <br />Councilman Granger moved to introduce Ordinance appropriating the total sum of $5,907 <br />from Budgeted Reserves of General Fund to provide for payment of increases in Work- <br />men's Compensation and Comprehensive and liability insurance premiums, seconded <br />by Councilman Keckley and carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0. 5177 BEING RESOLUTION OF INTENTION <br />TO APPROVE AN AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE <br />STATE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5178 DECLARING WEEDS A NUISANCE <br />AND ORDERING THEIR REMOVAL (Sets public hearing for November 14th) seconded by <br />Councilman Keckley and carried on roll call vote. <br />
