Report of Planning Commission read in which it
was reported Planning Commission had recommended prezoning of this property to
IR District after a public hearing had been held.
Planning Staff report stated applicant requested this prezoning, consisting of 2.7
acres, prior to completion of annexation proceedings to the City. It was also
stated applicant intended to clear the site of the present deteriorated structures
along with the cluttered and unsightly outdoor industrial uses and subdivide the
property for a higher standard of industrial use. It was further stated the pro-
posed TR Df'strict would be a more restrictive zone than the present M -I zoning under
the County.
Bob Foulk, of Lawrence G. Brian & Co., representing Mr.
Falk, urged Council's approval of requested prezoning.
Councilman Granger asked why it had not been possible to include other adjacent
parcels to this proposed annexation and reasons for prezoning. City Manager
reminded Council that an application had first been submitted for this parcel to be
annexed to the Dumbarton Fire Protection District and Council had directed Staff to
attempt to get the parcel annexed to the City instead, which had been accomplished
as annexation proceedings had been initiated.
