It was also reported from other informa- <br />tion received by Council that spraying had affected protestant's property <br />to such an extent he had been unable to plant expensive bulbs. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to approve protest and cancel assessment charges <br />on this property, seconded by Councilman Bury. After further discussion, <br />and noted caution to be heeded concerning similar situations for future <br />spraying programs, motion carried on roll call vote, Councilmen Bury, Peter- <br />sen, Rosselli and Mayor Herkner voting yes, Councilmen Granger and Keckley <br />voting no. <br />ASSESSMENT CANCELLED <br />Fred W. Meyer, 23 Spruce Street <br />Parcel 053-341-040 $0.93 <br />Protestant claims no weed abatement work was performed on his property. <br />Staff reported one spraying had been performed. After discussion of small <br />amount involved, Councilman Rosselli moved to grant protest and cancel <br />the assessment charges, seconded by Councilman Bury and carried. <br />ASSESSMENT CANCELLED <br />Wallis Reid, 1252 Johnson Street <br />Parcel 059-033-090 $8.40 <br />After discussion of investigation made by a Council member indicating creek <br />area where property situated and now being improved, Councilman Bury moved <br />to support protest and cancel the assessment charges, seconded by Councilman <br />Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call vote. <br />J. Franklin Salaman (Redwood Marina pproperty) <br />Parcel 052-384-030 $WOO <br />Staff questioned as to area involved and given assurance by Staff of weed <br />abatement given these areas. Councilman Granger moved that protest be <br />denied and assessment charges confirmed, seconded by Councilman Keckley <br />and carried unanimously on roll call vote. <br />ASSESSMENT CONFIRMED <br />Harold & Agnes Rosenthal, 62 Oakwood Ave. <br />Parcel 059-171-040 $5.60 <br />After discussion on fact Protestants claimed weeds had been abated by <br />themselves and assurance from Staff of records indicating three sprayings had <br />been made of a considerable amount of weeds on the property, Councilman Bury <br />moved to deny the protest and confirm the assessment charges, seconded by <br />Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call vote. <br />ASSESSMENT CONFIRMED <br />Paul & Tina Penna, 1541 Union St. <br />Parcel 059-051-370 $18.76 <br />After review of facts, Councilman Keckley moved to deny the protest and con- <br />firm the assessment charges, seconded by Councilman Bury and carried unani- <br />mously on roll call vote. <br />ASSESSMENT CONFIRMED <br />Ramon & Maria Ramirez, 1025 -8th Ave. <br />Parcel 055-034-150 $19.60 <br />After review of facts, Councilman Petersen moved to deny the protest and <br />Zonfirm the assessment charges, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried <br />unanimously on roll call vote. <br />ASSESSMENT CONFIRMED <br />Robert & Adrianne Regan, 3677Highland Ave. <br />Parcel 057-311-050 $9.38 <br />After review of facts, Councilman Rosselli moved to cancel the assessment <br />charges. Motion lost for lack of a second.
