SoI4 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING STREET SUPERINTENDENT TO <br />ABATE WEEDS, DIRT, RUBBISH AND RANK GROWTHS <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 5634, adopted by the Council of <br />the City of Redwood City on March 11, 1968, said Council <br />declared all weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths existing upon <br />private property within those certain areas of the City of Redwood <br />City delineated upon "Exhibit A" attached thereto, and in and <br />upon the sidewalks, parkways, streets, avenues, roadways, boulevards, <br />highways and alleys likewise delineated therein and situate within <br />the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 5634 ordered a public hearing <br />to hear any objections to the removal of said weeds, dirt, rubbish <br />and rank growths on March 25, 1968; and <br />WHEREAS, due notice of such hearings was given as required by <br />Article IV, Chapter 14, of the Code of the City of Redwood City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That all protests, oral and written, to the removal of <br />any weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths and the abatement of <br />same declared to be a nuisance by Resolution No. 5634 of the <br />Council of the City of Redwood City, are hereby overruled. <br />2. That the Street Superintendent of Redwood City be, and <br />he hereby is, directed to remove, or cause to be removed, all weeds, <br />dirt, rubbish and rank growths declared to be a nuisance by said <br />Resolution No. 5634, at the expense of the owners of the lots or <br />property upon which, or in front of which, such nuisance exists. <br />3. That the Street Superintendent of Redwood City be, and <br />he hereby is, ordered and directed to keep an itemized account <br />of the cost of abating such nuisance as provided by Article IV, <br />Chapter 14, of the Redwood City Code. <br />
