J61 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR OPERATION OF BUS TRANSIT SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City proposes to establish a <br />bus transportation system for public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, said City requires expert management and operation <br />services for said transportation system; and <br />WHEREAS, ServiCar of Northern California, Inc., a California <br />corporation with principal offices located at 1111 Chess Drive, <br />Foster City, San Mateo, California, represents that is experienced <br />and knowledgeable in the field of commercial transportation, and <br />said company further represents that it can furnish the expert <br />management and operation services required by the City of Redwood <br />City; and <br />WHEREAS, said City desires to obtain the aforesaid management <br />and operation services of ServiCar of Northern California, Inc., <br />and said company desires to furnish said services to the City <br />of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to enter into an agreement <br />with ServiCar of Northern California, Inc., for the performance <br />of said management and operation services for said bus trans- <br />portation system; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement - Operation of <br />Bus Transit System" by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />ServiCar of Northern California, Inc., a copy of which is <br />presently on file in the office of the City Clerk to which <br />copy reference is made for full particulars concerning the terms <br />and conditions thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager <br />is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and <br />on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />
