unsafe and fails to comply with the structural requirements of <br />the Redwood City Building Code and the Redwood City Electrical <br />Code. <br />This Council further finds that the findings contained in <br />the reports of the Building Inspector, the Housing Sanitarian <br />of San Mateo County, and the Fire Marshal are substantially <br />correct and true. <br />2. The owner of the structure located on Lots 7, 8 and 9, <br />Block G, Boyd and Kent Addition, at 102 Hemlock Avenue, Redwood <br />City, California, is hereby directed to abate said nuisance <br />within 30 days by having said structure properly reconstructed <br />or repaired or by having the same razed or removed. The Building <br />Inspector is hereby directed to transmit to the owner and to <br />such other persons as are known to have an interest in the subject <br />parcel a certified copy of this resolution together with a copy <br />of Article II of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City. <br />3. The Building Inspector is hereby directed to notify <br />the owner of the structure located on Lots 7, 8 and 9, Block G, <br />Boyd and Kent Addition, at 102 Hemlock Avenue, Redwood City, <br />California, that if said nuisance is not abated, the structure <br />located thereon shall be razed or removed by the Building <br />Inspector and the expense thereof made a lien on the land from <br />which it was removed. <br />4. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and empowered <br />to bring such civil and/or criminal action or actions, or <br />proceeding or proceedings, as are necessary and proper to gain <br />possession of the above described real property for the purpose <br />of abating said nuisance and to otherwise enforce said abatement, <br />in the event that the nuisance is not abated by the owner or his <br />-2- <br />
