DES:yc:3/1/68 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING <br />GASOLINE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PERIOD MARCH 1, <br />1968 - FEBRUARY 28, 1969; REJECTING ALL OTHER <br />BIDS RECEIVED; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5610, adopted February 12, <br />1968, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of gasoline <br />for the period March 1, 1968 through February 28, 1969, in <br />connection with the operation of City vehicles; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br />with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, ATLANTIC RICHFIELD COMPANY is the lowest responsible <br />bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award <br />said bid to said Atlantic Richfield Company and reject all other <br />bids received; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Atlantic Richfield Company for the furnishing <br />of Richfield gasoline is hereby accepted at the prices set forth <br />in its proposal dated February 23, 1968, as follows: <br />(a) (Regular) first -grade non -premium, at a maximum price <br />of $.1925 per gallon (tank wagon) <br />(b) (Premium) premium -type ethyl, at a maximum price of <br />$.2125 per gallon (truck and trailer at full or legal <br />carrying capacity) <br />(c) (Premium) premium -type ethyl, at a maximum price of <br />$.2155 per gallon (tank wagon) <br />Said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. <br />Any and all irregularities in said bid are hereby waived. <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br />for the furnishing of said gasoline other than the bid mentioned <br />in paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br />
