A portion of Elm Street, lying between the southwesterly <br />line of Heller Street and the northeasterly line of <br />Pennsylvania Avenue, as shown on that certain map <br />entitled "MAP OF THE EASTERN ADDITION REDWOOD CITY", <br />recorded in Volume 2 of Misc. Records at Page 85 and <br />copied into Volume 18 of Maps at Page 6, recorded <br />November 3, 1862 in the office of the Recorder of San <br />Mateo County, California. <br />BEGINNING at the easterly corner of Lot 1, Block 79 of <br />the above mentioned subdivision; THENCE South 61. 40' <br />East along the southeasterly prolongation of the north- <br />easterly line of said Lot 1, a distance of 60.00 feet <br />to the northerly corner of Lot 8, Block 74 of said <br />subdivision; THENCE southwesterly along the southeasterly <br />line of Elm Street 60.00 feet in width and the northwesterly <br />line of said Block 74, a distance of 185 feet, 4 inches to <br />the westerly corner of Lot 5, Block 74 of said subdivision; <br />THENCE northwesterly along the northwesterly prolongation <br />,of the southwesterly line of said Block 74, said line also <br />being the northeasterly line of Rail -Road Avenue (now <br />known as Pennsylvania Ave.) as delineated on said map, <br />to the southerly corner of said Block 79; THENCE north- <br />easterly along the northwesterly line of said Elm Street <br />and the southeasterly line of said Block 79, a distance of <br />175 feet, 4 inches to the POINT OF BEGINNING. <br />3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to record a certified <br />copy of this resolution and order in the office of the County <br />Recorder of the County of San Mateo; provided, however, that <br />the City Clerk shall first have received a deed (which deed <br />shall be recorded immediately after recordation of this resolution) <br />from the owners of the underlying fee interest in and to said <br />portion of Elm Street to be vacated, quit -claiming to the City <br />of Redwood City a one -foot wide non -access strip along <br />Pennsylvania Avenue, more particularly described as follows: <br />All that certain real property situate in the City of <br />Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, <br />described as follows: <br />A portion of that land shown as Elm Street on that Map <br />entitled "Map of the Eastern Addition, Redwood City," <br />recorded in Volume 2, of Misc. Records at Page 85 and <br />copied into Volume 18 of Maps 3, 1862, in the office of <br />the Recorder of San Mateo County, California, being more <br />particularly described as follows: <br />A strip of land 1.00 foot in width, adjacent to and <br />northeasterly of the northwesterly prolongation of the <br />southwesterly line of Lot 5, Block 74, of said Eastern <br />Addition. <br />
