This scope of services is specifically for the work required to complete the first major phase of component number five above, while engineering services for number four are to be provided under a separate, companion professional services agreement. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: The City of Redwood City intends to provide for the design and construction of customer site retrofits located within the eastern portion of the City, defined as Phase One of the Recycled Water Project ("Project") using the professional engineering services of Kennedy/Jenks Consultants ("Consultant"). Currently, 57 existing, individual customer sites have been identified as eligible to use recycled water for landscape irrigation and/or industrial uses. The Project consists of providing comprehensive customer coordination, pre-design fieldwork, preliminary and final design, regulatory approval coordination, construction management, cross-connection control certification, final conversion of existing potable water customers to recycled water service and customer site supervisor training. The customers for the Project are all located on the east side of Bayshore Highway 101 in the Redwood Shores, Bay Front and Seaport Industrial areas as shown on Fiqure 1 - Proposed Phase One Recycled Water Customers (attached). Each customer is identified by a site number, name and use classification. The only classifications that are eligible under this scope of services include Industrial, Commercial Landscape/Mixed Use, City-Owned Landscapes, Residential/Homeowner Association (HOA) Landscapes, and CalTrans Landscape types. Table 1 summarizes the number of customers in each classification that are eligible under Phase 1, and the portion of these customers that will be addressed by this scope of services.
