Section 3.0 — Project Description
3.7 Stormwater Runoff
Stormwater runoff from the project site currently flows into the City's storm drainage system.
Construction of the proposed project would implement City best management practices to reduce
impacts to surface water quality during construction. Additionally, the project would be constructed
in conformance with the Regional Water Quality Control Board's Municipal Regional Permit
requirements, which requires the inclusion of site-specific stormwater treatment control measures.
3.8 Joint Use Amement
An existing Joint Use Agreement between the District and City allows the District to use the
community center, turf field, and associated parking lot as part of school operations. The proposed
project requires an amendment to the existing Joint Use Agreement or preparation of a new
agreement.
39 Division of the State Architect
The California Division of the State Architect's (DSA) primary role in state government is to ensure
that California's K-12 schools and community colleges are seismically safe and accessible to all.
DSA fulfills this role by reviewing construction project plans for structural safety, fire and life safety,
and accessibility for disabled persons as required under the American Disability Act (ADA). In this
role, DSA works closely with school districts and designers. Design -level drawings, including all
structural elements of the proposed classroom buildings will be subject to the DSA review and
approval process.
City of Redwood City 13 Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration
Sandpiper Elementary School Facilities Expansion November 2016
