11/28/2016 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15541 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY DESIGNATING 32 KING STREET AN HISTORIC <br />LANDMARK <br />WHEREAS, on July 14, 2016, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee <br />considered and recommended that the single-family structure located at 32 King <br />Street, Redwood City, California be designated an Historic Landmark; and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee has determined that <br />said structure is eligible for designation as an Historic Landmark according to the <br />historic designation criteria established by the Redwood City Historic Preservation <br />Ordinance (Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Code); and <br />WHEREAS, on September 6, 2016, the Planning Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing and considered public comments, the application and report <br />from the applicant and owner of the subject property, the recommendation of the <br />Historic Resources Advisory Committee, and staff reports; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 6, 2016, the Planning Commission voted 6-0 <br />(Commissioner Hale absent) to recommend that the City Council designate the <br />subject structure an Historic Landmark; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 28, 2016, the City Council held a duly noticed <br />public hearing and considered public comments, the application and report from the <br />applicant and owner of the subject property, the recommendation of the Historic <br />Resources Advisory Committee and Planning Commission, and staff reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the structure located at 32 King Street, Redwood City, California <br />does meet the historic designation criteria established by the Redwood City Historic <br />Preservation Ordinance as follows: and <br />It embodies distinctive characteristics <br />construction, or is a valuable example <br />craftsmanship; and <br />of a style, type, period or method of <br />of the use of indigenous materials or <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Redwood City and the <br />residents therein, that said structure be designated an Historic Landmark to assist in <br />the preservation of such property. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1.
