Carried by unanimous voice vote. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GENERAL I. Extension of Memorandum of Agreement with the Innisfree Companies Report: Community Development Director 1/16/90 Redevelopment Agency Director Church presented the staff report and described the relocation program which is part of the Redevelopment Project. Mayor Greenalch questioned the use of the name Sequoia Station rather than Gateway as a previous request to rename the area after the Arguello family was denied. Redevelopment Agency Director Church advised that only the one project being approved here will be named Sequoia Station and it is one of many projects to be developed in the Gateway area which was subsumed within the new Downtown Redevelopment subarea approved by amendment in December. Dr. Gil Villareal, 1098 Eden Bower, Redwood City, renewed his request to honor the Arguello family in the Redevelopment Area. Redevelopment Agency Director Church advised that the developers and tenants believed it was not an appropriate name for a commercial venture, but they are willing to honor the Arguello family in some way in the project area in the future.
