working towards building communities that are inclusive, hospitable, and welcoming. <br />The Redwood City Welcoming Cities Resolution captures the spirit of making Redwood <br />City a welcoming place for all. <br /> <br />At the October 24, 2016 Council Communications Sub-Committee meeting, the Sub- <br />Committee discussed the prospect of joining the Welcoming Cities and Counties <br />Initiative. The Sub-Committee recommended that the City join the Initiative. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council could choose not to join the Welcoming Cities and Counties Initiative <br />at this time. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is an annual membership fee of $200 to participate in the Welcoming Cities and <br />Counties Initiative.
