02/13/2017 ORDINANCE NO. 2432 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING SECTION 20.96 OF DIVISION 1 OF ARTICLE VII OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE CITY CODE OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO PARKING NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Purpose. A. Instituting a two-hour time limit along 2nd Avenue will accommodate Spinas Park and neighborhood visitors while discouraging long-term commercial parking; and B. This ordinance is adopted in accordance with Chapter 9 (Stopping, Standing, and Parking) of Division 11 of the California Vehicle Code. Section 2. The Redwood City Municipal Code is hereby amended as shown in the following Sections by adding the text shown in underlined italics (example) and deleting the text shown in strikeout (example). Sections 1 and 2, and text in brackets, [example] are informational only and need not be published in the Municipal Code. Section 3. Chapter 20, Article VII, Division 1, Section 20.96 of the Redwood City Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 20.96. - PARKING TIME LIMITED ON CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREETS DURING CERTAIN DESIGNATED PERIODS: When signs are erected giving notice thereof, parking shall be limited as specified in the table below. Such limitations on parking shall be effective daily except on Sundays and holidays.
