If the inspection of a manhole or bait station is prevented (e.g. a paved over <br />manhole, flooding, tight manhole cover, etc.), the cause must be recorded. The <br />Contractor must inform the City and SMCMVCD of this condition immediately <br />and request their assistance to remedy the situation so that the bait in the manhole <br />may be inspected. <br />It is absolutely essential for the Contractor to keep an accurate record of all pest <br />activity (rodents and cockroaches). All evidence of rodent (gnawing on the bait or <br />rodent droppings) and/or cockroach activity found during the inspection must be <br />recorded on the field map and work summary sheet. <br />Required Data: <br />i. Phase of work and dates performed <br />ii. Number of bait blocks/stations/manholes installed/sprayed with the <br />location of each designated on the maps provided <br />iii. Number of bait blocks/stations/manholes inspected and accompanying <br />field notes (e.g. percent consumption noted for each block) <br />iv. Number of bait replacements / manhole resprays <br />v. Number of bait blocks/stations missing <br />vi. Number of bait blocks/stations re -installed <br />vii. (For Creek Program only) Number of bait stations removed in October <br />F. Chanties: The City and/or SMCMVCD may, at any time, issue instructions to <br />Contractor making changes in, additions to, or deletions from, the number of <br />manholes or bait stations under this Agreement, bait replacement or reinstallation <br />within its general scope. Said changes will be made at the same cost as in Exhibit <br />B. In no event shall changes be made to the services provided by Contractor <br />without the City's or SMCMVCD's prior consent. <br />I11.Task 1: Sewer Rodent Control Program <br />Starting in January 2019, Contractor will inspect and where necessary rebait a total of 575 <br />selected sanitary sewer manholes in the City of Redwood City. The locations are indicated on <br />the sanitary sewer manhole map available from the SMCMVCD. Copies of these maps will <br />be provided by SMCMVCD to the Contractor upon award of contract. <br />Contractor will conduct three inspections per year of each designated manhole to check for <br />consumed or deteriorated bait and to correct any deficiencies concerning the sewer baiting. A <br />deficiency includes, but is not limited to vandalism, missing or damaged bait blocks. <br />Each inspection of the 575 manholes shall be performed and completed within seven (7) days <br />of the starting date, unless prior authorization by the City or SMCMVCD is obtained to <br />extend this period. <br />The 575 selected sanitary sewer manholes are divided evenly into two schedules, Schedule A <br />and Schedule B.
