<br /> ORIGINAL <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Kainos Home and Training Center <br /> Hillside Stabilization Project <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this'~ay of ~o\c . , <br />2004, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Kainos Home and Training Center, a <br />California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br />WHEREAS, Contractor desires to renovatelimprove its facility (the "Project), located <br />at 3631 Jefferson Avenue, Redwood City, California, which provides services to individuals <br />with disabilities who are residents of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to complete the <br />Project that will benefit residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2004, and <br />ending June 30,2005; and <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and the Project and desires to allocate to <br />Contractor the sum of Eighty Seven Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($87,000) from its <br />Community Development Block Grant funds for the Project; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Eighty <br />Seven Thousand and no/100 ($87,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal <br />year commencing July 1, 2004, and ending June 30, 2005, solely for the purposes <br />described in Paragraph 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to Paragraph <br />1 solely for the Project purposes described in Exhibit A (Budget) and Exhibit B (Contractor <br />Objectives), attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. <br />CDBG/DJT.cje 1 8/24/2004 <br />
