<br /> it will, to the greatest extent feasible, make available opportunities for training <br /> and employment under this contract to lower income residents of City. <br /> 15. NONDISCRIMINATION BASED ON DISABILITY. Contractor hereby <br /> agrees that it will comply with the provisions of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation <br /> Act of 1973, as that section may be amended from time to time,· and the <br /> American with Disabilities Act (ADA) providing equal access and reasonable <br /> accommodations in employment programs and services to persons who are <br /> disabled. <br /> 16. INTEREST OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS. No members, officers, or <br /> employees or agents of the City, no member of the City Council and no other <br /> public official who exercises any function or responsibility with respect to this <br /> Agreement or Contractor's Program during his or her tenure, or for one year <br /> thereafter, will have any interest, direct or indirect, in this contract or a related <br /> subcontract, or the proceeds thereof. Contractor will incorporate in all <br /> subcontracts hereunder a provision prohibiting such interest. <br /> 17. LOBBYING PROHIBITING. Funds provided under this Agreement <br /> will not be used by Contractor for publicity or propaganda purposes designed to <br /> support or defeat legislation pending before federal, state, or local government. <br /> 18. RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY PROHIBITED. There will be no religious <br /> worship, instruction, or proselytizing as part of, or in connection with, the <br /> performance of this Agreement. <br /> The following restrictions and limitations will apply to the services <br /> rendered by Contractor in connection with the terms of this Agreement: <br /> (i) Contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for <br /> employment on the basis of religion and will not limit employment or <br /> give preference in employment to persons on the basis of religion; <br /> (ii) Contractor will not discriminate against any person applying for <br /> positions related to this Agreement on the basis of religion and will <br /> CDBG/DJT.cje 7 8/23/2004 <br />
