If a worker is hired under this provision, that requirement shall be included <br />in the initial appointment letter. <br /> <br />15.6.5 The City has the right to discontinue the bilingual differential at any time, provided the City gives <br />the exclusive representative ten (10) days' notice prior to such revocation, in order to allow the <br />opportunity for the parties to meet and confer. <br /> <br />15.6.6 No worker shall be required to use bilingual skills who is not compensated under this Article. <br /> <br />15.6.7 If a worker requests to receive bilingual pay and the request is denied, the worker may request a <br />an audit of the worker’s frequency and business necessity of bilingual skills used within the course <br />and scope of the worker’s job. Audit findings shall be submitted to the Personnel Officer, who shall <br />make a final determination regarding whether the employee shall be eligible for bilingual <br />differential. Assignment of bilingual differential shall not be subject to the grievance procedure. <br /> <br />15.7 Agricultural Pest Control Advisors License Differential <br /> <br />15.7.1 Workers who are assigned by the supervisor to job duties requiring a Pest Control Advisors (PCA) <br />license are eligible to receive a two and one-half percent (2-1/2%) pay differential for the use of <br />pest control advisors' skills in job duties arising during the normal course of work. <br /> <br />15.7.2 Acquiring a PCA license shall not be a condition of employment except for workers who are hired <br />specifically with that requirement. If a worker is hired under this provision, that requirement shall <br />be included in the initial appointment letter. <br /> <br />15.7.3 The City has the right to discontinue the PCA license differential at any time, provided the City <br />gives the exclusive representative ten (10) working days' notice prior to such revocation, in order to <br />allow the opportunity for the parties to meet and confer. <br /> <br />15.7.4 The City agrees to continue to pay for all costs associated with renewal of PCA licenses for all <br />workers who have acquired a PCA license prior to the effective date of this Memorandum of <br />Understanding. <br /> <br />15.8 Community Service Officer Specialty Pay <br /> <br />Community Service Officers (CSO’s) assigned to the specialty positions of Court Officer, Fraud Investigator, <br />Property Clerk and Code Enforcement shall receive a specialty pay differential of five percent (5%). <br /> <br />15.9 Communications Dispatcher Training Differential <br /> <br />Communications Dispatchers assigned to train newly hired workers shall be paid a training differential of five <br />percent (5%) for all hours assigned and worked in such training assignments. <br /> <br />15.10 Qualified Applicators Certification/Qualified Applicators License (Parks Division) <br /> <br />15.10.1 Workers who are assigned by the supervisor to job duties requiring a Qualified Applicators <br />Certification or License (QAC/QAL) are eligible to receive a two and one-half percent (2.5%) <br />pay differential for the use of the qualified applicator’s skills in the job duties arising during the <br />normal course of work. <br /> <br />6.3.B. - Page 31
