California State Fire Mechanic II, or <br />EVT LD Fire Apparatus Level II, or <br />EVT HD Fire Apparatus Level II, or Any two <br />(2) certifications listed in part B. <br />7% of base salary <br /> <br />Workers may qualify for only one category (A, B, or C) at any given time. <br /> <br />15.15 Water and Wastewater Certification Pay and Classification Study <br /> <br />15.15.1 Certification Pay <br /> <br />Water Employees: <br />This program is intended to provide an incentive for City employees in positions assigned to the <br />Water Division to obtain and maintain certifications above what is required by the job description. <br />Effective the first full pay period following February 1, 2014, the City will provide a Certification <br />Recognition Payment (CRP) of two percent (2%) for possession of job-related certifications above <br />the certifications requirements for the worker’s job classification as follows: <br /> <br />Job Classification Certification Pay Requirements: <br />PWMW-I (Water), Recycled Water <br />Specialist, Water Conservation Specialist <br />AWWA Water Distribution Operator Grade II (D2) <br />Consumer Services Technician, Customer <br />Support Services Specialist <br />AWWA Water Distribution Operator Grade II (D2) <br />Or AWWA Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester <br />Certification (in the event the employee has both <br />certificates, the CRP will not exceed two percent <br />(2%) <br />PWMW III (Water), Lead PWMW (Water), <br />Utilities Locator <br />AWWA Water Distribution Operator Grade III (D3) <br />Utilities Worker (Water), Utilities Specialist <br />(Water) <br />AWWA Water Distribution Operator Grade IV (D4) <br /> <br />The City will reimburse for successful completion of Management approved courses to attain <br />qualifying certification through the City-Wide Educational Reimbursement Program or Department <br />training budget within budgeted limits. <br /> <br />The City will pay for the cost of successful completion of certification exams and re-certification <br />exams. <br /> <br /> Wastewater Employees: <br />In 2011, employees in the classifications of Public Works Maintenance Worker I, II, and III (sewer <br />assignment only), Lead Public Works Maintenance Worker, Utilities Worker and Utilities Specialist <br />assigned to the Wastewater Division were classified into new job classifications with wastewater <br />job duties and the following certification requirements: <br /> <br />Job Classification Certification Requirements: <br />PWMW I-II (Wastewater) Wastewater Collection System Grade I <br />PWMW III (Wastewater - Sewer <br />Assignment Only), Lead PWMW <br />Wastewater Collection System Grade II <br />6.3.B. - Page 35
