<br />41 <br /> <br /> <br />A. Group Health Plan Medical Insurance <br />B. Flexible Spending Account for Dependent Care <br />C. Flexible Spending Account for Medical Expenses <br />D. Dental Insurance <br />E. Vision Insurance <br />Effective January 1, 2012, City contribution to the cafeteria plan will be: <br />· a maximum of ninety-five percent (95%) of actual cost of coverage, up to a maximum of <br />ninety-five percent (95%) of Kaiser family rate, plus <br />· A maximum of ninety-five percent (95%) of actual cost of coverage for dental and vision <br />coverage, minus <br />· the PEMHCA minimum monthly employer contribution. <br /> <br />22.1.5 For Library workers covered by this Memorandum of Understanding, this amount shall be prorated <br />for permanent part-time workers working nineteen (19) or more hours per week. <br /> <br />For all other workers covered by this Memorandum of Understanding, this amount shall be <br />prorated for each permanent part-time worker working twenty (20) or more hours per week. <br /> <br />22.1.6 NEW: Healthcare Legislation Reopener <br /> Either party may reopen Section 22.1 at any time during the term of the 2017-2019 MOU to <br />address the impact of health care legislation changes. Except by mutual agreement, the reopener <br />shall not cover the cost share arrangement for the cost of health insurance. <br /> <br />22.2 Retiree Health <br /> <br />For workers who have ten (10) years of service and retire under the retirement plan provided by Redwood <br />City, the City shall contribute on behalf of the retiree only (no dependents), a maximum amount toward the <br />health plans equal to the premium paid for an active worker, for the same plan. The City will pay the <br />PEMHCA minimum employer contribution to CalPERS and reimburse the retiree for the remaining <br />difference in premium amount. In accordance with CalPERS regulations, Medicare-eligible retirees shall <br />enroll in Medicare. Retirees that reside in other higher priced regions will be required to pay the additional <br />premium amount that is in excess of the Bay Area rates. <br /> <br />Term-funded workers shall not be eligible for retiree health coverage. <br /> <br />22.3 Dental Insurance <br /> <br />The City shall continue to provide to eligible workers and dependents dental insurance through the Delta <br />Dental Plan effective October 1, 2003 through the term of this agreement to include coverage’s as follows: <br />$2,000.00 annual cap for basic coverage and $2,000.00 lifetime cap for orthodonture, provided however, <br />that upon the request of the City, the parties will re-open this Article 22.2 to meet and confer on modifying <br />22.2 to provide a different dental insurance plan. In the event the City exercises this option to re-open, the <br />provisions of Article 30, No Strike, will not be in effect during the period of such re-opener discussions. <br /> <br />22.4 Savings Clause <br /> <br />22.4.1 If, pursuant to any federal or state law which may become effective subsequent to the effective <br />date of this Memorandum of Understanding, the City is required to pay contributions or taxes for <br />hospital/medical/surgical, dental care, prescription drug or other health benefits to be provided its <br />6.3.B. - Page 51
