<br />ORiGiNAL <br />AGREEMENT <br /> Shelter Network <br />Redwood Family House <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this~day of~ . , <br />2004, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Shelter Network, a California nonprofit <br />organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"). <br />WIT N E SSE T H: <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides transitional housing and comprehensive support <br />services for homeless families; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2004, and ending June 30, 2005; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Eighty Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($80,000). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Fifty <br />Five Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($55,000) from Community Development Block <br />Grant (CDBG) funds and Twenty Five Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($25,000) from its <br />General Fund for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, <br />2004, and ending June 30, 2005, solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br />CDBG/DJT.cje 1 8/19/2004 <br />
