�.,�- i o <br /> PLAN IMPLEMENTATION AND LIPDA TES <br /> The annual process for implementing the plan through the budget is detailed below: <br /> October The Director will develop a report to review <br /> Annual Progress Report implementation progress. For each goal area, the <br /> report will describe the status of implementation, <br /> including successes and barriers, and list the next <br /> steps and any resource or support needs. The <br /> report will also review prior year data from: <br /> ■ CIP Project Review <br /> ■ Neighborhood Survey Results (odd years) <br /> ■ ICMA Performance Measures <br /> November The Commission will meet each November to <br /> Parks and Recreation Commission develop strategic priorities for the coming year <br /> Priorities and Plan Llpdate Session based on a review of the Director's progress report. <br /> December The Department will update the Strategic Plan to <br /> Strategic Plan Llpdate reflect the findings of the Director's report and the <br /> Commission priorities. <br /> January The City Council will establish its priorities with <br /> City Council Priorities input from the Department's strategic planning <br /> process. <br /> February The Commission will conduct a session on CIP <br /> Parks and Recreation Commission projects in preparation for the budget process. <br /> CIP Project Review Meeting. <br /> March The Department submits its budget request to the <br /> Budget Submittal City Manager. <br /> May/June The City completes its budget process including <br /> Final Budget and CIP items developed through the strategic planning <br /> process. <br /> A comprehensive strategic planning update process will be completed every four years <br /> (sequenced with every other two year budget cycle) and will include: <br /> ■ Assessment of community needs and trends using surveys and focus groups <br /> ■ Involvement of Department staff <br /> ■ Review of progress toward action objectives <br /> ■ Review of performance measures <br /> ■ Park Commission input <br /> Redwood City Parks, Recreation, and Community Services � 2004StrategicPlan <br />
