<br /> DES:dft '12/93 (021/11) <br /> ,/20/93R <br />authorized and directed (subject to availability of funds) to <br />prepare and disseminate such information and guidelines and take <br />such other action as he or she deems appropriate to advise and <br />assist users of the water system of the City of Redwood City to <br />achieve and maintain the aforesaid voluntary reduction. Nothing <br />in this Section contained shall be deemed to excuse or relieve <br />any customer or user of said water system from complying with the <br />requirements of Section 4 (Prohibited Uses) . <br /> SECTION 3. RETAINED CREDITS. Credits established for <br />customers and users of the water system of the City of Redwood <br />City which, as of April 1 , 1993, represent an accrued balance of <br />water allotments (expressed in "units", of which one unit equals <br />100 cubic feet of water or 748 gallons) which, but for the repeal <br />of Ordinance No. 2018, could have been credited toward any use of <br />water in excess of the individual monthly allotments of said <br />customers or users in any succeeding months pursuant to the <br />provisions of Section 5(a) (5) of Ordinance No. 2018, shall remain <br />as such credits from and after April 1, 1993, through and <br />including March 31, 2003. If, during said period mandatory water <br />use rationing is reestablished by ordinance duly adopted by this <br />Council as a result of a recurrence of generally prevailing <br />drought conditions, said customers or users may apply their <br />respective balances of credits toward the use of water in excess <br />of their individual monthly allotments established and provided <br />under any such reestablished rationing program; provided, that <br />said credits shall be applied in each instance against the amount <br />of excess usage to the greatest effect to reduce the amount of <br /> 3 2062 <br /> ~'---"- <br />
