REPORT
To the Honorable Mayor and City Council
From the City Manager

March 13, 2017
SUBJECT
Transportation Impact Fee Account Report for Fiscal Year 2015-16

RECOMMENDATION
Continue the Transportation Impact Fee Account Report, originally scheduled for the
March 13, 2017 City Council meeting, to the April 24, 2017 City Council meeting in
order to ensure proper public notification
BACKGROUND
The California Government Code (Section 66000, et seq., known as the Mitigation Fee
Act) allows local government agencies to impose transportation impact fees. These fees
provide revenue for constructing capital facilities and implementing traffic reduction
measures to alleviate and/or mitigate the impact of increased traffic resulting from new
residential and non-residential development. Local agencies are to make available to
the public and review information regarding transportation fees each fiscal year and to
report certain findings every fifth year. The City Council of Redwood City will review the
annual account report for Fiscal Year 2015-16 on April 24, 2017.
ANALYSIS
ALTERNATIVES
FISCAL IMPACT
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW

SUSAN W HEELER, MANAGEMENT ANALYST

AARON AKNIN, ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER
AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

6.3.B. - Page 1
