On February 11, 1991, this Council adopted <br />Resolution No. 114578, entitled: <br />"Resolution of the Council of the City of Redwood City <br />Determining that the Public Interest Requires the <br />Establishment of a Downtown Business Improvement Area in <br />a Portion of the City of Redwood City in Accordance With <br />Sect. ion 36500 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code; <br />Giving Notice of Its Intention to do so; Describing the <br />Boundaries of the Proposed Area; Stating t.he Type of <br />Improvements, Method of Protesting, Method and Basis of <br />Levying the Assessment in Support Thereof; and Set.t.ing <br />the Time and Place of a Hearing Thereon." <br />SECTION 2. A duly noticed public hearing on the <br />establishment of Down t.own Business Improvement Area No. 2 <br />(including its Benefit Zones) (the "Area" ) pursuant to Streets and <br />Highways Code §36500 et seq. was held by this Council at a regular <br />meeting thereof on Monday, March 11, 1991, at 7:30 p.m. , Board of <br />Supervisor Chambers, Hall of Justice and Records, 401 Marshall <br />Street, Redwood City, California. <br />SECTION 3. All testimony of all interested persons for or <br />against the establishment of the Area, the extent of the Area, the <br />method and basis of levying assessment.s, or the furnishing of <br />specified type s of improvements or activities was heard at said <br />public hearing. <br />SECTION 4. The boundaries of the Area are as set forth in <br />exhibits A-I and A-2 attached hereto, incorporated by reference <br />herein as though set forth in full. <br /> 2036 <br /> 2 <br />- _. <br />
