upon the form axil legality of all contracts within the jurisdiction of the Board, give legal advice to the Board on official matters, defend and (subject to direc- tions from the Board) prosecute or compromise all actions at law or in equity and special proceedin<;s for or against the City of Redwood City or any officers thereof in his official capacity, pertaining to matters within the jurisdiction of the Board. The Board shall fix and provide for his compensation which shall be in addition to his compensation from the City as City Attorney. (18) To do and perform any and all other acts and things which may be necessary and proper to carry out the general powers of the City, or any of the provisions of Sections 47 to 50a of this Charter, end to exercise all powers rot in conflict with the Constitution of the State, or with this Charter, germane to the scope of its powers, purposes and duties. Section 47g. RELATION TO CITY TA21AGXR AND COUNCIL: The City Manager and the City Council shall be notified of the time and place of the holding of all meetings of the Commission and shall have the right to attend and address the Commission at such meetings. The Secretary of the Commission shall, within two (2) days after the adjournment of each meeting of the Commission, furnish the City Manager and City Council with a copy of the minutes of such meeting. The files of the Commission shall be open to inspection by the City Manager or the City Council at all reasonable times. Section 47h.
