And it is further ordered and ordained that said Council of the City of Redwood City shall meet at its usual meeting place on the first Monday after said election, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. to canvass said returns and declare the results of said special municipal election. Section 3. The manner of voting for or against amending the charter of the City of Redwood City shall be as follows, to -wit: A sufficient number of ballots shall be and are hereby directed to be prepared and caused to be printed on the proper kind of paper by the Clerk of the City of Redwood City, and be furnished and provided for the use of the voters at said special municipal election at the expense of the City, said ballots to have the following printed matter thereon in addition to any other matter required by law, to -wit: MUNICIPAL TICKET Submitting to the qualified voters of the City of Redwood City, County of San TvIateo, State of California, the following pro- positions or proposals to amend the charter of the City of Redwood City, to -wit: (a) The proposition or proposal to amend Section 4 of the charter of the City of Redwood City to read as follows. to -wit: Section 4. NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS: General municipal elections shall be held in said city on the second Tuesday in April of each even -numbered year under and pursuant to the provisions of the general laws of the State of California governing nominations and elections in the cities of the sixth class, so Sar as the same may be applicable, and except as herein otherwise provided. All other municipal elections that may be held by authority of this charter or of general law shall be known as special munici- pal elections, and shall be held substantially as in this charter provided for general municipal elections; provided, however, that special elections to authorize any municipal or local public improve- ment or the levy of assessments therefor, or to create a municipal bonded indebtedness, shall be held In conformity with any general f/� J law of the state relative thereto !i under which any such proceeding is instituted by the council, in case such general law provides for the procedure and manner of hold- ing elections thereunder.
