And it is further ordered and ordained that said Council <br />of the City of Redwood City shall meet at its usual meeting place <br />on the first Monday after said election, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock <br />p.m. to canvass said returns and declare the results of said special <br />municipal election. <br />Section 3. The manner of voting for or against amending the <br />charter of the City of Redwood City shall be as follows, to -wit: <br />A sufficient number of ballots shall be and are hereby <br />directed to be prepared and caused to be printed on the proper kind <br />of paper by the Clerk of the City of Redwood City, and be furnished <br />and provided for the use of the voters at said special municipal <br />election at the expense of the City, said ballots to have the <br />following printed matter thereon in addition to any other matter <br />required by law, to -wit: <br />MUNICIPAL TICKET <br />Submitting to the qualified voters of the City of Redwood <br />City, County of San TvIateo, State of California, the following pro- <br />positions or proposals to amend the charter of the City of Redwood <br />City, to -wit: <br />(a) The proposition or proposal to amend Section 4 of the <br />charter of the City of Redwood City to read as follows. to -wit: <br />Section 4. NOMINATIONS AND <br />ELECTIONS: General municipal <br />elections shall be held in said city <br />on the second Tuesday in April of <br />each even -numbered year under <br />and pursuant to the provisions of <br />the general laws of the State of <br />California governing nominations <br />and elections in the cities of the <br />sixth class, so Sar as the same <br />may be applicable, and except as <br />herein otherwise provided. <br />All other municipal elections <br />that may be held by authority of <br />this charter or of general law <br />shall be known as special munici- <br />pal elections, and shall be held <br />substantially as in this charter <br />provided for general municipal <br />elections; provided, however, that <br />special elections to authorize any <br />municipal or local public improve- <br />ment or the levy of assessments <br />therefor, or to create a municipal <br />bonded indebtedness, shall be held <br />In conformity with any general <br />f/� J law of the state relative thereto <br />!i under which any such proceeding <br />is instituted by the council, in <br />case such general law provides for <br />the procedure and manner of hold- <br />ing elections thereunder. <br />
