<br /> - <br /> MJP:djm ~8/27/89 (007/8) <br /> Dt.C 04 \989 ORIGiNAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2005 <br /> --------- <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 17.1 (a) , (b) , and (c) AND <br /> SECTION 17.2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> RELATING TO INTERFERENCE WITH ACCESS TO OR THE <br /> OPERATIONS OF ANY LAWFUL BUSINESS <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Section 17.1 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 17.1. Prohibited Activities. (a) Any person <br /> who, willfully and maliciously, blocks, obstructs, or <br /> otherwise impedes access to or exit from any building, <br /> place, or facility at which a lawful business is conducted <br /> is guilty of an infraction. <br /> (b) Any person who, willfully and maliciously, blocks, <br /> obstructs, or interferes with the movement of persons on any <br /> street, sidewalk, driveway, or other area which is open to the <br /> public and is adjacent to a lawful business is guilty of an <br /> infraction. <br /> (c) Any person who, willfully and maliciously, remains <br /> on any portion of the premises of a lawful business which is <br /> open to the public, after being requested to leave by the <br /> person in charge of the premises or by a peace officer, is <br /> guilty of an infraction." <br /> SECTION 2. Section 17.2 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 17.2. Definitions. <br /> For the purposes of this chapter, "business" means any person, <br /> firm, association, partnership, business trust, corporation, <br /> company or other organization which lawfully provides or make <br />
