(a) Requirements. <br />Each engineering report required to be submitted pursuant to <br />Section 9.142 shall: <br /> " (i) Be submitted within eighteen (18) months of <br />notification given pursuant to Section 9.143, provided, <br />that the Building Official may extend the time for <br />submission of an engineering report for a period not to <br />exceed six (6 ) months upon written application of the <br />owner(s) stating expressly the circumstances beyond the <br />control of the owner(s) necessitating such extension; <br /> " (ii) Be prepared by a civil or structural <br />engineer who is familiar with seismic analysis and <br />design; <br /> " (iii) Provide a report of an investigation, in a <br />thorough and unambiguous fashion, of the structural <br />systems that resist earthquake forces regarding the <br />building or buildings to which the report pertains, and <br />contain an evaluation of the adequacy of said systems <br />to resist the seismic design forces specified herein; <br /> " (iv) Conform to the engineering standards <br />established by the Uniform Building Code, 1985 Edition, <br />for the preparation of engineering reports and the <br />applicable standards contained in Division 88 of the <br />Standards for Unrein forced Masonry Buildings of the <br />City of Los Angeles, California, 1985 Edition, as <br />modified by Appendix A of this Division; and <br /> " (v) Conform, as to format, to the requirements of <br /> 10 2004 <br />-' .' _...,,--~._~ <br />
