<br /> SWC;djk 08/10/88 (#6) e <br /> S\ ,djk 08/11/88R SEP 1 2 1988 <br /> SWC:djk 08/19/88R <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1978 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> --------- <br /> ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 21.17 OF CHAPTER 21 AND <br /> ADDING CHAPTER 3A TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY RELATING TO ALARM SYSTEMS <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Section 21.17 of the Redwood City Code is hereby <br />repealed. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 3A is hereby added to the Redwood City <br />Code, to read as follows: <br /> "CHAPTER 3A. ALARM SYSTEMS <br />"Section 3A.1. Definitions. For the purpose of this <br /> chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the <br /> meaning respectively ascribed to them: <br />" (a) 'Alarm Company' means any person who sells, <br /> leases, maintains, services, repairs, alters, <br /> replaces, moves, or installs any alarm system, or <br /> who causes any alarm system to be sold, <br /> maintained, serviced, repaired, altered, moved, or <br /> installed in or on any building, place or <br /> premises. <br />" (b) 'Alarm System' means any device designed for the <br /> detection of an unauthorized entry on the <br /> premises, or for alerting others of the commission <br /> of an unlawful act and, when activated, emits a <br /> sound and/or transmits a signal. <br />"(c) 'False Alarm' means the activation of an alarm <br /> 1978 <br /> _._... <br />
