<br /> SW('·bjl 07/06/88 (# 6) <br /> AVe 819æ <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1975 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.19 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO STATE AID TO PEACE OFFICERS AND <br /> PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHERS <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Section 2.19 of the Redwood City Code is hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 2.19. State Aid to Peace Officers and Public <br /> Safety Dispatchers. The City Council declares that it <br /> desires that the City be qualified to receive aid from the <br /> State of California under the provisions of Section 13522, <br /> Chapter 1 of Title 4, Part 4 of the California Penal Code. <br /> "Pursuant to Section 13510(c) of the California Penal <br /> Code, the City, while receiving aid from the State of <br /> California pursuant to the aforesaid Chapter 1 of Title 4, <br /> Part 4, will adhere to standards for recruitment and <br /> training established by the California Commission on Peace <br /> Officer Standards and Training. <br /> "Pursuant to Section 13512 of the California Penal <br /> Code, the Commission and its representatives may make such <br /> inquiries as deemed appropriate by the Commission to <br /> ascertain that the City's peace officer and public safety <br /> dispatcher personnel adhere to those standards for selection <br /> and training established by the Commission on Peace Officer <br /> Standards and Training." <br /> SECTION 2.
