<br /> D11'S:djk 05/02/88 (#6) <br /> L J:djk 05/09/88R <br /> DES:djk 05/09/88RR <br /> SECTION 9. DISCONTINUANCE OF SERVICE. Upon a determination <br />by the Director that a user has consumed water in violation of <br />any of the provisions of this ordinance, or of any adjustment or <br />exception granted pursuant to Section 6(b) hereof, the Director <br />may issue an order to cease and desist from such violation, and <br />further order such user to comply forthwith with such provisions, <br />adjustment or exception, or otherwise to take appropriate <br />remedial or preventative action. If, after the issuance of such <br />cease and desist order, such user continues to consume or use, or <br />again consumes or uses water in violation of any such provision, <br />adjustment or exception, the Director may, subject to the <br />provisions for notification and hearing hereinafter set forth, <br />discontinue water service to the premises of such user. <br /> Prior to the discontinuance of water service to any <br />premises, the Director shall give written notice of intention to <br />discontinue such service, and of hearing to be held by the <br />Director upon the question of termination, not less than ten days <br />prior to such hearing. A user determined to be in violation of <br />the provisions of this ordinance, or of any adjustment or <br />exception issued pursuant to Section 6(b) hereof, the owner of <br />the premises (if not such user) , and such other persons as the <br />Director may deem appropriate, shall be heard at the hearing on <br />the question of termination. If, upon completion of the hearing, <br />the Director finds that no violation has occurred, the Director <br />shall order that the service shall not be terminated.
