Mr. Jonathan Hayes
March 15, 2017
of service reported in the Downtown Precise Plan DEIR (LOS E in the AM and LOS F in
the PM peak hour). Thus, additional analysis of this intersection is unnecessary.

The intersection of El Camino Real and Roosevelt Avenue was recently evaluated in the
Redwood City El Camino Real Corridor Plan. The Existing Conditions Memorandum #3:
Transportation, dated November 2016, shows that the intersection currently operates at
LOS C during the AM peak hour and LOS B during the PM peak hour. The proposed
project is expected to add approximately 44 vehicle trips during the AM peak hour and 47
trips during the PM peak hour. The intersection is expected to continue to operate at
acceptable levels (LOS D or better) with the addition of project trips. Thus, no further
analysis is required.

The proposed project is expected to add an insignificant number of trips (fewer than 10
trips at any movement) for all intersections west of El Camino Real, thus, the project is
expected to result in a less than significant impact at these locations.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if there are any further questions regarding the 1409 El
Camino Real Residential and Retail Development Traffic Study.

Sincerely,
HEXAGON TRANSPORTATION CONSULTANTS, INC.

Michelle Hunt
Vice President
8.A. - Page 124
