<br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br /> <br />City of Redwood City <br />HSR16-87 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br />ATTY/AGR/2017.041/CA HIGH SPEED RAIL AUTHORITY – REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT <br />REV: 03-01-17 VR <br /> <br /> <br />Contractor staff and attorney time will be reimbursed at the hourly rates set forth in Attachment 1 - <br />Budget. Contractor acknowledges that “staff time” does not include time for subcontractors, vendors, <br />and outside counsel. Subcontractor, vendors, and attorney time shall only be reimbursed if <br />specifically in Attachment 1 - Budget. <br />C. Additionally, Contractor will be reimbursed the actual costs incurred for (i) fringe and overhead rates, <br />and (ii) other direct costs limited to (a) travel; (b) approved subcontractors; and (c) vendors. <br />D. Contractor acknowledges the following costs shall not be reimbursed: (i) reviewing and/or providing <br />comments on environmental documents (including, but not limited to, environmental impact <br />statements and environmental impact reports); (ii) attending meetings, unless at the request of the <br />Authority; (iii) acquisition of real property, which shall be handled through the property acquisition <br />process; (iv) coordination for design and construction activities, which shall be handled through task <br />orders/utility agreements; (v) preliminary and/or final designs, which shall be handled through task <br />orders/utility agreements; (vi) construction, materials, or inspection, which shall be handled through <br />task orders/utility agreement; and (vii) maintenance, which shall be handled through the ownership <br />and maintenance agreement or construction and maintenance agreement, as appropriate. <br />3. SCHEDULE OF SERVICES <br />Performance of the work described in Section 2 shall commence upon receipt of Notice to Proceed. <br />Unless terminated as provided herein, the Work shall continue until earlier of (i) completion of the Work <br />or (ii) expiration of the term. <br /> <br />6.1.C. - Page 6
