EXHIBIT A <br />1. Scone of Work/ Tasks <br />Contractor shall provide the following services: <br />A. Coordination <br />a. Coordinate project implementation schedule with City staff <br />i. If a phased project schedule is implemented, Contractor will work with <br />City staff to finalize a project schedule. Contractor will schedule delivery <br />and installation of battery back-up systems so that each phase is completed <br />within 120 business days. <br />ii. Should deviations from the project schedule arise, it is the Contractor's <br />responsibility to communicate any anticipated delays to the City and to <br />propose a revised project schedule. Approval of a revised project schedule <br />is at the sole discretion of Mike Gibbons, Public Works Superintendent. <br />b. Provide City staff with monthly progress reports <br />c. Notify the City of any incandescent lamps at listed intersections <br />B. Installation and Testine <br />a. Check and verify proper voltages from existing PG&E Type III electrical service <br />b. Install new Tesco battery back-up system (BBS) cabinets onto existing signal <br />cabinets at the intersections listed in Section 2. Payment Terms. <br />i. For the Tesco BBS, Contractor shall use Model 2000VA.lf Contractor <br />determines that an alternative model is better suited for the project, <br />Contractor will communicate its recommendation to the City. Alternative <br />models may not be installed without prior written approval from Mike <br />Gibbons, Public Works Superintendent. <br />ii. Contractor shall implement all necessary traffic control measures at each <br />intersection during installation in order to promote safe movement of <br />vehicles and pedestrians. Contractor shall be responsible for supplying all <br />necessary traffic control materials, including but not limited to temporary <br />stop signs and traffic cones. <br />c. Make necessary electrical connections per current City and Cal -Trans standards <br />d. Program BBS to run intersection continuously in case of temporary power failure <br />e. Test and verify proper operation of all newly installed BBS cabinets <br />f. Clean up work site <br />C. Invoices <br />a. Invoice the City monthly at the end of the month for all completed installations <br />D. Warranty <br />a. Provide, at a minimum, the standard manufacturer's warranty on all materials and <br />equipment installed under this Agreement. <br />b. Provide an extended "Lifetime" warranty covering all work performed, per <br />Contractor's bid submittal.
