EXHIBIT A 1. Scone of Work/ Tasks Contractor shall provide the following services: A. Coordination a. Coordinate project implementation schedule with City staff i. If a phased project schedule is implemented, Contractor will work with City staff to finalize a project schedule. Contractor will schedule delivery and installation of battery back-up systems so that each phase is completed within 120 business days. ii. Should deviations from the project schedule arise, it is the Contractor's responsibility to communicate any anticipated delays to the City and to propose a revised project schedule. Approval of a revised project schedule is at the sole discretion of Mike Gibbons, Public Works Superintendent. b. Provide City staff with monthly progress reports c. Notify the City of any incandescent lamps at listed intersections B. Installation and Testine a. Check and verify proper voltages from existing PG&E Type III electrical service b. Install new Tesco battery back-up system (BBS) cabinets onto existing signal cabinets at the intersections listed in Section 2. Payment Terms. i. For the Tesco BBS, Contractor shall use Model 2000VA.lf Contractor determines that an alternative model is better suited for the project, Contractor will communicate its recommendation to the City. Alternative models may not be installed without prior written approval from Mike Gibbons, Public Works Superintendent. ii. Contractor shall implement all necessary traffic control measures at each intersection during installation in order to promote safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians. Contractor shall be responsible for supplying all necessary traffic control materials, including but not limited to temporary stop signs and traffic cones. c. Make necessary electrical connections per current City and Cal -Trans standards d. Program BBS to run intersection continuously in case of temporary power failure e. Test and verify proper operation of all newly installed BBS cabinets f. Clean up work site C. Invoices a. Invoice the City monthly at the end of the month for all completed installations D. Warranty a. Provide, at a minimum, the standard manufacturer's warranty on all materials and equipment installed under this Agreement. b. Provide an extended "Lifetime" warranty covering all work performed, per Contractor's bid submittal. Rectify any issues that arise from Contractor's workmanship immediately and at no additional cost to the City.
