<br /> DCB:rks 5/10/84 <br /> ,..- <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The foregoing recitals are, and each of them is, <br />true and correct and the Council so determines. <br /> SECTION 2. The Council of the City of Redwood City hereby <br />finds and determines that the public necessity, health, safety <br />and welfare require the establishment of an underground utility <br />district to accomplish the purposes set forth in Resolution No. <br />9559, adopted April 23, 1984, by said Council, within the area <br />described in "Exhibit A" hereof, attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein; and this Council hereby further finds and determines that <br />each and all of the following specific matters in furtherance of <br />the general public interest exist with relation to said <br />underground utility district: <br /> (a) Such undergrounding will avoid or eliminate a heavy <br /> concentration of overhead electric facilities. <br /> (b) The streets, roads or rights of way in the district are <br /> extensively used by the general public and carry a <br /> heavy volume of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. <br /> SECTION 3. Said district is hereby established and declared <br />formed, and designated as "UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. <br />1984-1". <br /> SECTION 4. The boundaries of the district are hereby fixed <br />and determined to be as set forth and described in "Exhibit A", <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein. Reference is hereby <br />made to the map of said district boundaries as shown on "Exhibit <br /> 2 <br /> - <br />
