<br /> OUT OF SERVICE STORAGE FACILITIES <br /> Sec. 80.107. <br /> (a) No storage faclity shall be abandoned. <br /> (b) Storage facilities which are temporarily out of service, and are <br /> intended to be returned to use, must continue to be monitored and inspected. <br /> (c) Any storage facility which is not being monitored and inspected in <br /> accordance with this article must be closed or removed in a manner approved <br /> \ <br /> and authorized by the Fire Prevention Bureau. <br /> (d) Any person, firm or corporation having an interest, including a <br /> leasehold interest, in real property which contains an abandoned storage <br /> facility shall contact the Fire Prevention Bureau and shall submi t to the <br /> Fire Prevention Bureau a plan for the closing or removi ng or the upgrading and <br /> permitting of such storage facility. If an abandoned storage facilitv is <br /> discovered after such date by one of the aforementioned persons, such person <br /> shall contact the Bureau within 30 days of such discovery and shall submi t the <br /> aforementioned plan. , <br /> MONI't'ORING <br /> Sec. 80.108. <br /> Monitoring methods shall include at least one system for detecting <br /> leakage from the primary container. A monitoring system capable of detecting <br /> that the hazardous material stored in th primary containment has entered the <br /> secondary containment shall be provided. Visual inspec ti on of the primary <br /> containment is the preferred method; however, other means of monitoring may <br /> required by Fire Prevention Bureau. Where secondary containment may be <br /> subject to the intrusion of water, a means of monitoring for such water <br /> .. <br /> (20) <br /> -~,.,. <br />
