AN D THE <br /> I CI TY COUNCIL <br /> t OF THE .; <br /> PLt CITY OF RED~OOD CITY <br /> ASE DO NO <br /> The Board of Administration, ~~~llees' Retirement System, herein- <br /> after referred to as Board, and 'the gover' -/BfteþJf above public agency, here- <br /> inafter referred to as Public Agency, having en e {}«to a contract effective <br /> July 1, 1941, and ~itnessed July 11, 1941 , and as amended effective July 1 , <br /> 1954, August 1, 1959, January 1, 1967, April 1, 1 969, July 1, 1971, September <br /> 1 , 1971, September 28, 1973, December 1, 1975, November 1, 1976, July 1, 1979, <br /> and Februáry 1, 1980, ~hich provides for participation of Public Agency in said <br /> System, Board and Public Agency hereby agree as follo~s: <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I A. Paragraphs 1 through 10 are hereby stricken from said contract as executed <br /> effective February 1, 1980, and hereby replaced by the follo~lng paragraphs <br /> numbered 1 through 11 inclusive: <br /> . <br /> I 1 . All ~ords and terms used herein ~hich are defined in the Public Employ- <br /> . Retirement La~ shall have the meaning as defined therein unless <br /> ees <br /> otherwise specifically provided. "Normal retirement age " shall mean <br /> age 60 for local miscellaneous members and age 50 for local safety <br /> members. <br /> 2. Public Agency shall participate in the Public Employees . Retirement <br /> System from and after July 1, 1941 making its employees as hereinafter <br /> provided, members of said System subject to all provisionc f the <br /> Public Employees' Retirement La~ except such as apply only on election <br /> of a contracting agency and are not provided for herein and to all <br /> amendments to said Law hereaft&r enacted except those, which by, ex- <br /> press provisions thereof, apply on¡Y on the election of a contracting <br /> agency. <br /> 3. Employees of Public Agency in the follo~ing classes sL311 become mem- <br />I bers of said Retirement System except such in each such class as are <br />I <br /> excluded by law or this agreement: <br /> a. Local Firemen (herein referred to as.local safety members); <br /> b. Local Policemen (herein referreq to as local safety members); <br /> : <br /> c. Employees other than local safety members (herein referred to as <br /> local miscellaneous members). <br /> 4.
