<br /> ~GM:rb 7/14/83 <br /> GM: rb 10/19/83R <br /> CGM:rb lO/24/83R <br />city when such animal reaches four (4 ) months of age <br />or with sixty (60) days after the dog is acquired, <br />upon presentation of proof that such dog has been <br />neutered or spayed. The fee paid by persons over the <br />age of sixty shall be one half of said license fee. <br />The annual license fee for succeeding years shall be <br />due on the anniversary date of the original purchase <br />date of the license. Any person who fails to pay such <br />license fee within thirty (30) days after the fee is <br />due, or the dog is required to be licensed, shall pay <br />a penalty established in accordance with a fee <br />schedule set forth in Section 5.91 herein, in addition <br />to the payment of the license fee herein required. <br />New residents to the city shall have sixty (60) days <br />in which to acquire the necessary license. Dog <br />licenses are not transferable between owners. <br />However, if a dog which is licensed dies and the owner <br />acquires a new dog, the license is transferable to the <br />new dog. <br />SECTION 6. Section 5.21 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 5.21. (a) A license shall be obtained but no <br />license fee shall be payable for the licensing of the <br />following dogs: <br />" (1) Dogs which are being trained for guide or hearing <br />purposes or which are being used for guide or hearing <br />purposes by a handicapped resident of the city. <br /> 5 <br /> -- _4".___ <br />
