<br /> STATC:rb 9/12/83 <br /> . 2: rb 9/19/83R <br /> SWC:rb 10/06/83R <br /> SWC:rb 10/10/83R <br /> photograph of the applicant, date of expiration of the permit, <br /> and the name of the owner for which the driver is authorized to <br /> operate a vehicle. Such permit shall be mailed to the owner <br /> named therein and shall be valid only so long as said driver <br /> continues in the employ of such certificate holder. <br /> "Upon the termination of any driver's employment, the <br /> owner by whom such driver has been employed shall immediately <br /> give the police department written notice of such termination, <br /> and the reasons therefor, and shall forthwith surrender said <br /> driver's permit to the Chief of Police for cancellation. <br /> "Section 33.40. Any person issued a driver's permit <br /> who subsequently is convicted of any felony or misdemeanor <br /> offense or who ceases to possess a valid State of California <br /> driver's license of the class required by state law for the <br /> operation of taxicabs shall immediately so inform his or her <br /> employer and the Chief of Police. <br /> "The Chief of Police shall revoke the driver's permit <br /> of any such driver who ceases to possess a valid license, and <br /> shall revoke the driver's permit of any such driver who is <br /> convicted of any felony or misdemeanor when such conviction <br /> results in such driver being unable to drive a taxicab, or when <br /> the Chief of Police determines that such conviction reasonably <br /> and directly indicates a potential risk to the public. <br /> "The Chief of Police may revoke or suspend any driver's <br /> permit if the driver's State of California Department of Motor <br /> 17 <br /> 1881 <br /> . .- -_.......... <br />
