Background The Agency requires professional consulting services for development projects in the redevelopment area. KMA is a highly skilled and qualified firm providing services in real estate, economics and redevelopment. The firm has successfully advised the Agency for over fifteen years and is very familiar with the local economy and environment. Tim Kelly has been the Principal assigned to Redwood City's projects ... during this entire period. KMA has assisted staff with all the major projects implemented by the Agency, including: · Sequoia Station · Wyndham Place · Mezes Plaza · City Center Plaza · Downtown Retail-Cinema Project · EI Camino Project · Update of the 5-year Implementation Plan What Do They Do? Their services in connection with the Downtown Retail-Cinema project over the last two years are a good illustration of their typical activities for the Redevelopment Agency. At the earliest stages of the project, they advised staff on the most effective ways to structure the request for proposal (RFP) documents. KMA has extensive experience with both residential and commercial projects and they know the strengths of major developers and commercial tenants. Once proposals were received, KMA prepared in- depth economic analyses of the proposals and then made recommendations on the best offer for the Agency. Agency Board members involved with the Retail-Cinema sub-committee reviewed the detailed analyses prepared by Mr. Kelly. - -~,....-
