<br /> Steve Morrison gave the background and provided a PowerPoint presentation <br /> demonstrating Redwood City's position in the timeline for implementation of the <br /> new ferry service. <br /> Council Member Howard expressed her inspiration in working with the Water <br /> Transit Authority. She stated that the authority is supportive of Redwood City <br /> bringing water transit to the city. She further stated her hope that Measure A <br /> passes to provide further funding to South San Francisco and in the future, <br /> benefit Redwood City. She also announced that on October 2, 9 and 23, the <br /> Port and the Water Transit Authority with the City of San Francisco are <br /> sponsoring a trip to the downtown Ferry Building. The ferry boards and leaves <br /> from the Port of Redwood City, for information go to www.watertransit.org to <br /> save a seat for the free excursion. <br />6.
