RESOLUTION NO. 2015-33 <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF COLMA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A PUBLIC WORKS <br />MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT <br />The City Council of the Town of Colma does hereby resolve: <br />1. Background. <br />(a) The County of San Mateo and the cities within the County have been in discussions <br />regarding establishing a plan to facilitate and encourage mutual aid, when necessary, between <br />the cities and the County for public work type emergencies. <br />(b) Discussions occurred at the staff level between all cities in the County, and the County, <br />regarding a mutual aid agreement. <br />(c) Pursuant to Government Code Section 8631, local agencies, such as the Town, are <br />authorized to provide mutual aid pursuant to an established agreement. <br />(d) Pursuant to Section 1.06.180 the City Council is authorized to enter into the Public <br />Works Mutual Aid Agreement, without competitive bidding, as a contract for services to be <br />performed by any city or county. <br />2. Findings. The City Council finds that it is in the Town's best interest to participate in a <br />Countywide Public Works Mutual Aid Agreement. <br />3. Order. <br />(a) The Public Works Mutual Aid Agreement which is on file with the City Clerk is approved <br />by the City Council of the Town of Colma. <br />(b) The Mayor is authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Town of Colma, with <br />such technical amendments as may be deemed appropriate by the City Manager and the City <br />Attorney. <br />Res. 2015-33, Public Works Mutual Aid Agreement .
