for appeal shall state the grounds upon which the appeal is <br />being made and shall be accompanied by any supporting informa- <br />tion the appellant desires to be considered in connection with <br />the appeal. <br />The written request for appeal shall be accompanied by a <br />nonrefundable fee of fifty dollars ($50.00). <br />Upon filing a request for appeal, the City Clerk shall give <br />notice of such appeal to the officer or employee of the City <br />whose determination, decision or action is being appealed, and <br />shall notify such officer or employee of the time and place of <br />the hearing thereon. The City Clerk shall, in every case, notify <br />the Director of Public Works of such appeal upon receipt of a <br />request therefor. <br />A public hearing shall be held upon the appeal. Notice of <br />such hearing shall be given, to the extent not inconsistent here- <br />with, in accordance with the provisions of Article 49 of the <br />Zoning Ordinance. <br />The City Council may affirm, reverse or modify the decision, <br />determination or action being appealed if it determines the public <br />interest will be served by such affirmance, reversal or modifica- <br />tion, and if it determines that the prerequisites required by <br />Section 41.17 have been met, if applicable. The Council may, <br />pending final determination of any appeal, require the Director <br />of Public Works, or any administrative official, to submit his <br />recommendations to the Council. The determination on an appeal <br />by the City Council shall be final. <br />SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its <br />adoption. <br />
