CrM:djg-c 10/27/81 L :djg-c 11/09/81 R ORIGINAL O R D I N A N C E No. 1 851 NOU 23 1981 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE VIII(COMMENCING AT §9.80) OF CHAPTER 9 OF, AND ADDING ARTICLE VIII (COMMENCING AT 59.80) TO, CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE ESTABLISH- MENT OF PLUMBING REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS, INCLUDING THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE "UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1979 EDITION," AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PLUMBING AND MECHANICAL OFFICIALS THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Article VIII (commencing at §9.80) of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Article VIII (commencing at §9.80)is hereby added to Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: "ARTICLE VIII. PLUMBING CODE "Section 9.80 (a) Pursuant to Section 50022.1 et seq., of the Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1979 Edition, as published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials is hereby adopted and shall be in effect within the City of Redwood City to the same extent as if set out in full herein except as expressly amended by the provisions of this article. AppendicesA,B,C,D, and G thereto are specifi- cally adopted and shall be enforceable to the same extent as if contained in the body of said code. "(b) In the event of any conflict between the provisions of the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1979 Edition, hereinafter referred to as the plumbing code, and the provisions of this chapter, the provisions of this chapter shall apply. 11SPetinn 9.81.
