T— <br />CGM:wb 8/13/80 <br />Q ORIGINAL <br />O R D I N A N C E N 0. 1827 AUG 25 1980 <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20.45 OF CHAPTER 20 OF <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO <br />THE PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMIT FOR EDGEWOOD ROAD <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 20.45 of Chapter 20 of the Code of the <br />City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 20.45. It is hereby determined upon the <br />basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that <br />the speed permitted by state law outside of business <br />and residential districts as applicable upon the following <br />streets is greater than is reasonable or safe under the <br />conditions found to exist upon such streets, and it is <br />hereby declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be <br />as herein set forth on those streets or parts of streets <br />herein designated when signs are erected giving notice <br />thereof: <br />Name of Street or <br />Portion Affected <br />"(a) Edgewood Road, between <br />Alameda de las Pulgas and <br />El Camino Real <br />"(b) Frontage Road, on the south <br />side of Bayshore Freeway, <br />between Marsh Road and that <br />certain alley situate 200 <br />feet west of 2nd Avenue <br />If (c) <br />am <br />it (e) <br />Declared Prima <br />Facie Speed Limit <br />25 MPH <br />Harbor Boulevard, between <br />East Bayshore Road and <br />Hinman Road <br />Industrial Way, between the <br />northerly limits of the city <br />and Whipple Avenue <br />Marine World Parkway, between <br />the westerly limits of the <br />city and Bridge Parkway <br />Veterans Boulevard, between <br />Whipple Avenue and Chestnut <br />Street <br />35 MPH <br />4 0 MP H <br />35 MPH <br />3 5 MPH <br />35 MPH <br />SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after <br />its adoption. <br />
